Court documents uploaded to the e-file website are typically not numbered, and the courts may require multiple documents to be uploaded to a single envelope in a specific manner. How do you reorder your court documents if the court rejected a filing because the documents were uploaded in the incorrect order?
- First, confer with the court clerks as to what order your lead documents should be uploaded in.
- Second, copy the original filing (as long as none of the documents in the rejected envelope were accepted by the court) and remove all the filings in the Filings tab.
- Third, re-add the lead documents to the filing in the order required by the court. (You may want to change the filenames of the PDF documents to number them in according to the court's preferred upload order prior to re-adding them to the copied envelope draft.)
Once finished, resubmit your copied draft to the court.
