The Case Search function is one of the website's most essential aspects and can be used to search the eFile & Serve system for cases users can file into. Case Searches are done on a court-by-court basis in each state's eFile & Serve website.
To bring up the Case Search feature, click on the three-line "hamburger" menu button at the upper left corner of the website to bring up the sidebar menu, then click the "Case Search" option.
The Search for Case screen should then appear. To search for cases, select the court location you wish to file into using the Location dropdown menu. Select whether you want to search for a case by either Case Number or Party Name, enter that information in the input fields below, select how you want to sort your results using the Sort Results By dropdown menu, then click the blue Search button.
NOTE: Not all states allow filers to search for cases by Party Name! For more information, please refer to the following help article.
The Case Search Results should appear after a brief loading time. From here, you can use the options in the Actions button menu to file into the cases you find, bookmark cases, view the case's Service Contacts list, or (in select states) view case filings using re:Search.
You can view past Case Searches via the Case Search square on your account's Dashboard. This square will always display your three past Case Searches, should you wish to revisit those Case Searches.
NOTE: You cannot clear the searches in the Case Search square.
