The eFile & Serve system sends out several types of email notifications to our filers and to others designated as e-service recipients by our filers.
| Email Notification Type | Meaning / Purpose |
| Submitted | Filers receive this type of email notification as soon as they submit a filing. |
| Accepted |
Filers receive this type of email notification when their submitted filing has been accepted by the courts. |
| Account Locked | Filers receive this type of email notification after they are locked out of their account due to too many incorrect login attempts. |
| Receipted | Filers receive this type of email notification when their submitted filing has been automatically accepted/received or "receipted" by the court's review queue. |
| Rejected | Filers receive this type of email notification when their submitted filing has been rejected by the courts. Filers may also receive this type of email notification if their filing errored out after submission. |
| Returned for Correction | Filers receive this type of email notification when their submitted filing has been returned to the filer by the courts. The filing may be accepted or rejected, but the courts have found some issue with it that must be corrected before it can be refiled. |
| Service | Email addresses other than the filer's receive this type of email notification when the filer designates them for e-service on the Service Contacts section of a case. |
| Service Undeliverable | If a filer gets this notification, an error - typically a Suppression list issue, though other issues may cause this error - prevented their eFile & Serve or Service Only filing from reaching the Service Contact they were e-serving. |
| Submission Failed / Submission Failure |
Filers receive this type of email if a problem with the PDF they uploaded causes an error that either prevents the filing from getting to the court or prevents the court review clerks from opening the document. |
| System | Filers receive this type of email notification when the efiling system administrators wish to notify filers of outages and upcoming changes to the eFile & Serve system. |
