FIRM ADMIN: How To Add New Users

Firm Users are those that have the ability to log in and submit filings on behalf of the firm or to view all the firm's filing history, as submitted by all the Firm account's users and administrators. These users can be attorneys, paralegals, legal secretaries, even office administrators/accountants.

• NOTE: There is no limit as to how many users can be added to a Firm account.
  Old users will not be removed from the Firm Users list as new users are added.

For more information on how to add new users to your Firm account, please select one of the following options:

• For Most States
• For Louisiana

FOR MOST STATES

Follow the instructions below to add a new user to your Firm account.

At the Dashboard, click on the 3 horizontal lines at the top left of the screen. Click on the Firm Management Icon and select Firm Users.

Note: Only Firm Admins can add new users to the account.

 Right side of the screen, click the +Add User icon.

Enter in the required fields of First Name, Last Name, and Email. Select what additional User Role you would like the new user to have (if any), then click on Save.

NOTE: You may also add this user's information to your firm's Service Contacts list via the blue + Add Service Contact button. Click the link below to learn more.

The person you invite will receive two emails:

(1) An email notifying them that they were invited by you to join this firm.
(2) A second email to reset their password so they can sign in to their new account.

 

NOTE: If needing to re-send an activation email to a Firm User, you can send the activation email from the Firm User information window.

 

 

Note: The Criminal Firm Admin and Criminal Filer roles are assigned by the State or someone who is an existing Criminal Firm Administrator. The eFile Technical Support team will not be able to assign these roles.

 

 

 

FOR LOUISIANA

Follow the instructions below to add a new user to your Firm account.

At the Dashboard, click on the 3 horizontal lines at the top left of the screen. Click on Firm Users.

Note: Only Firm Admins can add new users to the account.

 Right side of the screen, click the +ADD USER icon.

Enter in the required fields of First Name, Last Name and Email. Click on Invite.

The person you invite will receive two emails:

(1) An email notifying them that they were invited by you to join this firm.
(2) A second email to reset their password so they can sign in to their new account.

 

NOTE: If needing to re-send an activation email, please remove the user and re-add by clicking the trash can icon next to the user. Then proceed to re-add the user to send an activation email to their email address.
