Overview
You can assign a Lead Attorney to a party while editing the party's information on a case.
Instructions
From the Parties page, locate the party you want to update.
Select the Edit (pencil) icon next to the party.
Scroll to the Attorney Information section.
Select the appropriate name from the Lead Attorney field.
To add an additional Lead Attorney, select the additional Additional Attorneys field displayed below the first and choose another attorney. Repeat this process as needed to assign multiple Lead Attorneys to the same party.
Select Save in the lower-right corner of the page to apply your changes.
Notes:
- A Lead Attorney can only be added when submitting an eFiling to the court. You cannot add or update Lead Attorney information independently within the eFile site.
- The ability to assign multiple Lead Attorneys depends on the court. Some courts allow multiple Lead Attorneys for a party, while others permit only one.

After a Lead Attorney has been successfully associated with a party, Filer Support cannot modify or remove that information.You can only select attorneys from your own firm. Opposing counsel or co-counsel representing other parties will not be available for selection.
