In Texas, filers can bulk file multiple cases at once via the Bulk Filing feature.
To start a new bulk filing, click the blue Start Filing button on the filer dashboard.
Next, click the white Bulk File Cases button in the File New Case tile at the left of the screen.
Select your court Location in the dropdown menu and give the filing a Bulk Name on the Bulk Filing window that appears. The Bulk Name is a nickname you can give this bulk filing. It can be based on anything from the court location (if you are filing multiple cases into the same court), the case type (if you are filing multiple cases of the same type at once), or anything you prefer.
Once you have selected the Location and Bulk Name, click the blue Continue button to progress through your bulk filing.
- NOTE: You may only file into one location at a time.
To add a case to your bulk filing, click the blue Add Draft button.
Select your Case Category and Case Type in the Case Information window. If your case is related to another pending or previously pending court matter, you may enter that case's information in the Civil Domestic Information section as well.
If you need to certify that your documents satisfy the court's redaction requirements or request disability accommodations, do so here as well. Once you are done filling in the Case Information, click the blue Parties button to the lower right of the screen to continue, just like any regular case.
Next, click the blue Add Party Details link to add the names and - if required - contact information for your default Parties. If you need to add more Parties, click the Add More button below the default Parties. Once done, click the blue Filings button at the lower right of the screen to add your filings.
Click the blue "Add Filing" button to upload a document, as you would with any normal filing.
Select the Filing Type and Filing Code, then upload your document and select document Security.
Once you have your document uploaded, either click the white-and-blue Add More button or click the blue Service button to add Service Contacts.
- NOTE: You may only upload five documents per draft.
Once you have entered all the necessary data and uploaded all necessary documents for your current case draft, you can either click the Save Draft and Exit button to save the draft and return to the bulk filing, or you can click the Add Draft button, then click the Add Draft submenu option to start the next draft in your bulk filing.
- NOTE: You may only file five drafts at a time into the court location you have selected.
Once you select Add Draft, you are sent back to the Case Information screen to create a second draft for this bulk filing.
After you have entered all the information for this next draft, click Save Draft and Exit to return to your bulk filing. Repeat the steps to add more drafts as needed, but always click Save Draft and Exit after doing so to return to the bulk filing.
Once you have the drafts you want to add to your bulk filing, click the blue Fees button at the lower right of the screen to continue to the Fees page.
At the Bulk Fees page, you can select the payment account you want to use for all your drafts via the Apply Payment Account to All Drafts dropdown menu, then you can click the blue Apply to All button to apply that payment account to all the drafts shown below. You can do the same for the filing attorney via the Apply Filing Attorney to All Drafts dropdown menu (if applicable).
Click the blank checkbox to add a checkmark to any Submission Agreements you must select (if applicable), then select which individual Parties you are filing for in each case using the Party Responsible for Fees dropdown menu for each draft. Select the Filer Type for each draft as well. You can also adjust the Payment Account and Filing Attorney for each draft, if need be.
Once finished, you may click the Calculate Fees button to show the fee details for your filing. Click the blue Submit button to send your bulk filing to the court(s).
