Assume a user has submitted their efiling envelope to the court. Maybe the filing was rejected and the user must copy the envelope and refile. Maybe they filed using the Guide & File system and forgot to download their documents prior to submission. However it happened, assume the user lost access to the documents they filed in some way.
Can the user download their documents from their submitted envelope so they can re-upload them into their copied envelope?
You can view documents that have been efiled previously from you/your firm's efile account by following the steps outlined in this article.
Please select one of the options below:
FOR MOST STATES
1.) From the Filer Dashboard, click on View Filing History in the Filing History section.
2.) Locate the submitted envelope (whatever its status) in the Filing History and click the Actions button to the right of the envelope.
3.) Next, click the Envelope details option in the dropdown menu that appears.
4.) In the Envelope Details page, scroll down to the Filings section and click the black down arrow to expand the section. Finally, click the blue Original document button under the Lead Document section near the bottom of the Filings section.
This will download the document to your Downloads folder (or your browser's default download location).
FOR LOUISIANA
1.) From the Filer Dashboard, click on View Filing History in the Filing History section.
2.) Locate the submitted envelope (whatever its status) in the Filing History and click the View Details button to the right of the envelope. (This button looks like a blue sheet of paper.)
3.) In the View Details page, scroll down to the Filings section and click the blue Original link under the text reading Download Version.
This should download the original rejected document to the user's Downloads folder (or wherever they have set their browsers to download files into).
