The Filing has Been Rejected. What Do I Do Next?

NOTE: The fees from your rejected or canceled envelope will be returned to your payment method in three to fourteen business days. If you cannot wait that duration of time for your fees to be returned, you must pay the filing fees again to resubmit your corrected filing while you wait for your original fees to be returned to you.

If your filing has been rejected, use the Copy Envelope option. Copy Envelope can be found in the Filing History section of the eFile site, or under My Interviews of the Guide & File site (will show as Start a Copy).

Copy Envelope makes a copy of the rejected envelope that you can edit to fix the issues listed in the rejection comments.
