Below is a list of statuses that can be found on the eFile website.
Status | Meaning |
Draft | A filing that has been started but has not been Submitted. |
Submitting | The submit button has been clicked and is transporting to the court clerk review queue. If it is in submitting status for longer than usual, it could be that the filing may be stuck trying to process to the court. The filer may try to cancel the filing and re-file. |
Submitted | The filing is now in the court review queue. The reviewing clerk will now have to take action on that filing. This status is Pending until the clerk reviews the documents. |
Under Review | The reviewing clerk has selected the document and is currently looking at the document(s). |
Reviewed | The reviewing clerk has finished reviewing the document. |
Accepted | The reviewing clerk has accepted the filing and has stamped the document. This does not mean that your request has been approved or denied, only that the court has accepted this document into the case. |
Rejected | The filing has been returned by the clerk for correction. |
Returned for Correction | The filing has been returned by the clerk for correction. |
Returned (Minnesota) | The filing has been returned by the clerk for correction. Note: Filings must be cancelled to use the copy envelope function. |
Cancelled | User clicked on the X icon to the right of filing and the filing did not make it to the court review queue. Only the user in the account or a user in the firm can cancel a filing. |
Submission Failure | The PDF document could not be processed through the eFiling website. |
Court Processing |
The filing is in the court review queue. It will take a court clerk to take action on this filing. (Note: If the filing has been in Court Processing for more than 3 business days, please contact the court to resolve the status. The court might need to contact their court support team for assistance.) |
Receipted |
The filing was auto-accepted by the court. This is based on court configuration. |
Served |
This status means that electronic service was successful. |
Service Incomplete |
This means that one of the contacts to be served did not receive service due to an issue with their email server bouncing the notification back. |
Note if envelope is in the following status of Submitted, Under Review and Court Processing. Every effort is made to review and process documents within the next business day, however, the Courts ask that we allow 24-48 hours (2 business days) for them to review and process the filings.
