If you get an email saying your filing has been returned or rejected, you can correct your filing and eFile it back to the court using the Copy Envelope feature in your Filing History. To find out why your filing was rejected, click here for more instructions.

Copy envelope is going to copy everything in the rejected envelope and create a new draft number. In the new draft number, you will be able to make edits and changes before re-filing.
To copy an envelope, perform the following steps:
On the Dashboard menu, click on View Filing History.
The Filing History page is displayed.
Click the blue Filter button located at the top right of the Filing History page.
Select your filters. Sort by Status Rejected to view rejected filings in your Filing History page. Sort by My Firm instead of Myself in the Created By field to view your entire Firm's filing history (if applicable). Click Apply Filter to view results.
The returned envelopes are displayed, per the filter that you set.
Scroll through page to locate the rejected envelope that you want to correct.
Click on the Actions icon directly to the right of the envelope number, select Copy Envelope.
Please Note: All filings must be rejected in the envelope for the copy envelope option to appear. If there is at least one accepted filing, you will need to file into the case. The copy envelope can also only be used once. If you click the copy envelope, the envelope is likely in draft status which can be resumed.
Navigate through the top tabs of the envelope to verify the information. Make any changes as appropriate.
The Filings tab is where you can make edits to the documents that have been uploaded. Navigate to the Filings tab by clicking Filings at the top of the screen.
Click the pencil icon (edit filing) to the right of the Filing that needs to be corrected.
Scroll down the screen. Locate the Lead Document and click on trash can icon to remove the document.
Click Select file button to upload the new document.
Select the Document. Note: The Security may also be required if noted with a red asterisk. Then, click Save.
After you have corrected the envelope, make sure to click on Submit.
NOTE regarding fees: Your account is never charged until your filing is accepted. If you see any pending charges on your account prior to acceptance, the pending charges are an authorization hold to ensure that the funds are available so your filing can be accepted without delay.
- If the filing is canceled or rejected, the funds will be released and will return to your account according to your financial institution's policies (typically three (3) to ten (10) business days).
