How To Register an Account (Filers Without Attorneys)

• Note: Filers without lawyers cannot register on the eFile websites in New Mexico, New Hampshire, or Tennessee. Please contact your local court for guidance on how to file your documents in those states. 

 

Registration is free; it costs nothing to create an efiling account.

For more information on registering for a Pro Se or Individual account, please select one of the following options:

• For Most States
• For Louisiana

 

 

FOR MOST STATES

To locate your state's eFile website, visit www.filenow.me, then scroll down and select your state. Once done, select eFile & Serve (see below).

 

 

The main landing page will provide an option to register for an Individual or Pro Se Account. 

The individual account is for filers without attorneys, self represented filers, process servers and property owners. The individual is a single user account and will require an email for registration.

Click Register to begin creating the Individual Account.

Complete all fields marked with a asterisk*. 

• Please Note: This will be the email address or user ID you sign in with, and receive status updates to for all of your filings.
• Please Note: This email can only be registered once in the eFiling system
• Please Note: You MUST have an email address to register an account. If you do not have an email address, you must sign up for one via Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, Outlook Email, AOL Mail, Proton Mail, or some other similar email service before you can register for an account with us.
• Please Note: The password must be 8 characters long, include a capital letter and at least one number. 
• Please Note: If you enter a P.O. Box as your address, leave out the periods and enter the phrase "P.O. Box" as "PO Box". This is purely for registration purposes; Tyler Technologies will NOT send you any mail.

Check the box to agree to the Terms and Conditions.

Click Register.

FOR LOUISIANA

To register for your account click on Register button at the top right.

Select the option for Individual

All fields with a red asterisk will be required. Type on the line above the pink boxes.  Complete the User Information, then press Next

• Please Note: This email can only be registered once in the eFiling system
• Please Note: You MUST have an email address to register an account. If you do not have an email address, you must sign up for one via Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, Outlook Email, AOL Mail, Proton Mail, or some other similar email service before you can register for an account with us.
• Please Note: Your password must be at least 8 characters and include an upper case letter, a lowercase letter, and a number or special character.
• Please Note: If you enter a P.O. Box as your address, leave out the periods and enter the phrase "P.O. Box" as "PO Box". This is purely for registration purposes; Tyler Technologies will NOT send you any mail.

Complete the Contact Information and click the "I agree to the Terms and Conditions" check box. Press Submit.

You will receive an email with a link to confirm the email address you registered with.

You must click the emailed link before you will be able to sign in.

Note: You do not have to register an account for each county separately. Once you're registered on the state's website, you can file into any county that's listed on the website.
