Follow these basic troubleshooting steps when encountering this error.
- Remove special characters from PDF file names. Ensure that the name ("Save As" name) of your PDF document (example: filename.pdf) consists of only letters and numbers and is under 24 characters in length prior to uploading it to our site.
- Ensure page sizing is within normal envelope limits (8.5 x 11).
To learn more about how to view document properties, please refer to the following help article: - Remove recently added Service Contacts, then re-add them with only the name and email address. Do not include street addresses or phone numbers!
- Try exiting the draft, then create a new one.
- Try using a different web browser (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox).
- Ensure the document is not a fillable form document that still shows editable fields. If the document still displays editable text input fields, use the Print to PDF method to re-save the document in a "flattened" form.
- Remove any symbols in mailing address in party and case address in case information tab.
- Set the Filing Type to "EFile Only" instead of "EFile and Serve" and remove recently added Service Contacts entirely.
