In most cases, the court systems may transfer cases from one court to another court. When searching for a case in its originating county or court location, that case will no longer appears in case searches. If you try to file into it, you may encounter error messages. When this happens, contact the originating court's filing clerks for more information.
In some cases, however, you may wish to initiate the transfer of a case from one court to another. In order to transfer a case from one court to a different court, contact the clerks at the case's originating court and the clerks at the destination court to get instructions from them. Obtain whatever case documents they may recommend and file them into the case to initiate the transfer, then continue filing into the case at the new court.
