Follow the instructions below on how to add an Administrative Copy email to a Service Contact or to edit an existing Administrative Copy email.
Anytime this service contact gets e-served on a specific case, the Administrative Copy will also receive the service notification email.
- WARNING: DO NOT add someone else's email address as an Administrative Copy without their permission, as they will not be able to remove themselves from the case in case they decide they want to opt out of receiving efiling emails!
To view the instructions applicable to your account, please select one of the following options:
FOR MOST STATES
Click on the button with three horizontal lines at the top left corner of the screen and click on Service Contacts (or Firm Service Contacts, depending on your account type) in the drop down menu.
Locate the contact's name and email, the click on the corresponding Pencil (Edit) Icon on the right.
Enter in a email address into the Administrative Email(s) input field and then click the blue Save button at the lower left corner.
If you already have an email address in that field, you may edit it now, then click the blue Save button to lock in the changes you have made.
Note: You may enter multiple email addresses in the Administrative Copy field. Simply separate the email addresses with a comma. Do not use any spaces or other characters to separate the emails.
Note: Administrative copies are not tracked by the system like Service Contacts.
FOR LOUISIANA
Click on the 3 horizontal lines at the top left and click on Firm Service Contacts or My Service Contacts in the drop down menu (depending on your account type).
Locate the contact name and email, click on the corresponding pencil icon on the right.
Enter an email address into the Administrative Email(s) field and then click the blue Save button at the lower left corner.
If you already have an email address in that field, you may edit it now, then click the blue Save button to lock in the changes you have made.
Note: You may enter multiple email addresses in the administrative copy field, you will just need to separate the email addresses with a comma. Do not use any spaces or other characters to separate the emails.
